About Lumber Jack
My name is Rod Jack and several years ago I built my first log building. In the beginning I had experience with logs and logging but not so much with shaping and molding them into a building (a good builder crafts logs together to look like they grew as one.) At first I turned to books, videos and a lot of trial and error, with that sometimes my pile of logs that didn't work out was quite large, but building after building they got better! I then met and started to learn from experienced log builders and my building quality exceeded what I thought was possible. I am now creating buildings of exceptional quality and still learning new and innovated ways to create our buildings that will last a lifetime.
Mission
At Lumber Jack Log Company our mission is to build high quality small and mid size log buildings, that meet and exceed todays building standards. As a member of the IBLA I'm educated on the effective practices of building an energy efficient log building. We take carful care of the design of our buildings so they can last many life times. We want to change the myth that log buildings are just for the wealthy in society, and show people that most anyone can afford a quality log building at a fair price.
